Glaitha-B: U+E980 - U+E9FF

The Glaitha-B Fairy Script was created by Rebecca Bettencourt as part of
her fictional Mika culture and the fictional city of Mika City. Glaitha-B is
used by fairies to write Mikiana. It can be seen on the grounds of the Mika
City School for the Supernaturally Gifted, where fairies are known to live.
"Glaitha" is the Mikiana word for "handwriting." Glaitha-B is used mainly to
write Mikiana, but can be used to write any language with the same phonemes.

The Glaitha-B script is a syllabary written left-to-right, top-to-bottom.
The base of a syllable is a straight vertical line with an ornament on top or
bottom representing a vowel. Consonants are represented by strokes drawn on or
through the straight part of the base. Multiple consonants can be attached to
the base from top to bottom. Normally, consonants are initial; however, if a
separator dot is drawn in the middle of the base, the consonants below the dot
are final. A syllable with no initial consonants is drawn with nothing above
the dot. A syllable with no final consonants is normally drawn with no dot;
a dot with nothing below it is understood, but awkward. A syllable can be
just a vowel, in which case nothing is drawn on the base.
Glaitha-B can also be written vertically, top-to-bottom and left-to-right,
with horizontal bases with ornaments on left or right and consonants written
left-to-right. This is equivalent to rotating the text 90 degrees clockwise
and flipping it horizontally.
The number system is a combination base 5, base 20, and base 100. A single
digit represents a number from 0-99. Digits are written left-to-right, least
significant digit last. Digits are written similarly to syllables. The base
of a digit is a double vertical line. Alone, this represents zero. From top
to bottom are written symbols called number components for the number of
twenties, up to four; the number of fives, up to three; and the number of
units, up to four. The symbol for four fives is the same as the symbol for
one twenty.
In Unicode-encoded text, the base is followed by any number (including
zero) of initial consonants or number components, the separator dot (if
needed), and any number (including zero) of final consonants. Number
components and the number base may be mixed with vowels and consonants,
but the symbols produced do not represent anything and the behavior of
a number component after a separator dot is undefined. The behavior of
an initial consonant after a separator dot and a final consonant before
a separator dot is also undefined.
There are no special names for vowels or consonants, so the following
system is used to comply with Unicode character naming standards: Vowels
are named after the corresponding IPA symbols (a, e, i, o, u) or English
short vowels (æ, ɛ, ɪ, a, ʌ); ROUNDED A is the open-mid back rounded vowel
(ɔ); SEMI-RHOTIC U is the "oo" in "book" (ʊ). Consonant names are mostly
IPA, except Y, SH, ZH, DH, TH, KH, NG, KY, LY, MY, NY, and RH which are
j, ʃ, ʒ, ð, θ, x, ŋ, kʲ, lʲ, mʲ, nʲ, and ɹʰ respectively.
